Volunteer for the Celebrate Life Project

ANA-Maine members are cordially invited to participate in Hospice Volunteer teams developing cherished Memory Books for their patients.

The program will feature six to eight Celebrate Life teams, which will include University of New England students, who will meet with their patients twice weekly for 6 weeks starting Friday, March 22.

Volunteer training begins on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Compassus Hospice, 163 U.S. Route 1 in Scarborough. Each volunteer is required to complete 25.5 hours of training (17.5 hours classroom time).

We are especially seeking retired nursing professionals to participate in this important, special project to explore new horizons in hospice care.

For further information, including volunteer interviews starting January 7, please contact Mark Pechenik, Volunteer Coordinator, at 761-6967 or by email: or email Jean Dyer at
